What Is Reiki?
Originating in Japan during the 1920s, Reiki stands as one of the most enduring and globally recognized lineages of energy healing. Across its various traditions, the core philosophy remains constant: a practitioner acts as a conduit, channeling universal life energy into the client. By positioning their hands slightly above or gently on key areas of the body, the practitioner stimulates the recipient’s internal recovery response. Notably, this practice is equally effective when conducted remotely through distance healing.
How Reiki Works
During a session, the practitioner draws on universal life force energy and directs it toward areas of the body that are blocked, depleted, or out of balance. As a result, the body is invited to relax deeply and begin its own natural healing process. Sessions are gentle and non-invasive, with clients remaining fully clothed throughout.
Unlike more physically demanding forms of bodywork, Reiki requires no pressure or manipulation. Instead, it works on a subtle energetic level, addressing the root causes of tension, pain, and emotional stress. According to the International Center for Reiki Training, regular sessions can support both physical and emotional wellbeing over time.

Furthermore, Reiki works beautifully alongside other healing modalities. Many of David’s clients combine it with therapeutic massage, Quantum Touch, or Chakra Balancing for a truly integrated healing experience.
