Therapeutic Bodywork
Therapeutic bodywork is a type of massage therapy that can eliminate pain and stress in the body. For instance, a popular type of therapeutic bodywork we offer is the combination of Tui Nau and Swedish Massage.
Swedish Massage is a manual therapy that emphasizes long strokes, kneading and friction motions to encourage proper circulation. Above all, this technique involves running muscles together in the same direction as the flow of blood to the heart. Tui Nau is more of a pinching and squeezing of the soft tissue.
To clarify, utilizing both of these techniques in a variety of sequencing on any body part is the key to Therapeutic Bodywork. Addressing the whole body from this therapeutic approach is one of the keys to healing. We must be sensitive to the clients specific needs, most importantly, and allow the tissue to move and open at its’ own speed. A very skilled technician will be aware of this technique. The results you will experience are amazing.
Deep Tissue Massage
In addition, these above techniques are often combined with a Deep Tissue Massage during a Therapeutic Bodywork session. For example; Deep Tissue means understanding the levels of tissue and the appropriate pressure needed during the massage. This is a slow process. It takes time for the body to readjust and shift. This can be seen within several attempts of initiating change.
All these techniques are aimed at relieving tension in the deeper areas of the musculature. If you are prepared for a more intense treatment, Deep Tissue Massage will help with flexibility, relaxation, and even pain relief.
